hey mate here's the ans

 {x }^{2}  + 7x + 12 = (x + 2)(x + 5) + k

now we will multiply (X+2) and (X+5) so it become

 {x}^{2}  + 7x + 12 = ( {x}^{2}  + 5x + 2x + 10) + k

now we will add the like terms

 {x}^{2}  + 7x + 12 =  {x}^{2}  + 7x + 10 + k

now transfering the like terms to other side it become

 {x}^{2}  -  {x}^{2}  + 7x - 7x + 12 - 10 = k

here x^2 and 7x will be cancelled because of opposite signs. now the remaining part is

12-10=k

2=k

hence the value of k is 2
