If u answer me write then I will mark u as the brainliest... no spam please...Name a drying agent for ammonia . Why are other drying agents such as P2O5 and CaCl2 are not used ??

1.Drying agent for ammonia is cao (calcium oxide)
2 because ammonia is a basic in nature it can only be dried by a basic agent, for it if p²o5 and cacl2 h2so4 react with ammonia so ammonium selfet, ammonium phosfet and yuth property will be created hence...

drying agent for ammonia is CaO
P2O5 and CaCl2 are not used for drying ammonia because they are acidic in nature and NH3 being basic in nature reacts with these drying agents to form salt and water
