That is because 10 bottles give you one drink, and you have 100 bottles.
100÷10= 10, so you will get 10 bottles. When you are done, you can exchange the 10 bottles for another one. So, if you total it up, you get 11 bottles, but you are left with only one in the end.

Well, If i bring 10 bottles and he changes it to 1 drink. Then certainly 100 bottles will change it into 10 drinks by applying unitary method. Be like-
10 bottles=1 drink
100 bottles= 100/10=10 drinks
If you bring them again, it'll be changed to 1 drink yet again. You'll be left with 1 drink.
Oh ya! Total them- 11 bottles
(P.s.- Hope you just going with 'soft drinks' ...Alcohol is harmful after all ;P )
