If u get turmric satain on ur cloth and wash off with soap it becomes red why

Turmeric is a natural indicator.  It remains yellow in acidic solutions and changes to reddish in basic solution

Soap solution is a basic solution. So when we wash off with soap, the stain becomes red!

we know that turmeric is an indicator which changes its yellow colour into reddish brown when comes in a contact with solution of Base.we know that soap solution is base and thus when turmeric stain is washed with a soap,a base turns reddish brown.
