It is said that children are god's gift. They are naive and are completely dependent on their parents. Therefore, they rely on adults to provide them with the care and direction they need to develop into independent adults.

The finest source of this nurturing comes from adults in children's families, but when those individuals are unable to provide for a child's needs, it is the State's responsibility as the primary duty bearer to find an alternative that is in the child's best interests.

• every child has the right to elementary education. to ensure this, the government of India made an amendment to the constitution and implemented article 21-A, which makes free elementary education, a fundamental right for kids up to age 14.
• right against exploitation is a fundamental right that prohibits any kind of child labor up to the age of 14.
• the right to survival gives every child the right to live a dignified life. this includes basic human needs like food, shelter, and clothing.
• the constitution of India gives every child protection against violence and physical and sexual abuse.
• children have the right to development i.e., there should be an adequate balance of sports, academia, and relaxation.
• children have a right to participate and freely express their opinions, just like the citizens over 18 years of age have.

the importance of ensuring children's wellbeing and development as well as their basic human dignity. It makes it clear that all children should have the right to a basic standard of living rather than having that as a privilege enjoyed by a select few.
