I am the only source of energy on earth.
I am a ball of fire, a special star in the night sky, a single part of the universe. I reach everyone and everything; but no one has truly met me – I am the sun. My rays are strong and powerful enough to touch the earth within minutes. I have one sole job, but I do it well. I rise every morning; slowly but surely I burst up from under the horizon. My golden rays splatter everything in my path, painting the world with warmth and energy.
People gravitate towards me. They long for the feeling that emanates from my core. I give them a sense of security. I make them believe that my warmth will shelter them from the cold pain that night brings. I am synonymous with the thought of happiness, we go hand in hand. The way that I am, I can’t neglect a single flower, person, or pond. Anything that I see - I shine my light upon- in hopes of giving a special part of me to everything that crosses my path. I want to help the world grow. I have a passion, a fire that is everlasting. I am placed here for a greater reason than to shine; I’m waiting to show the universe what’s inside of me. One day, the truth beneath my sea of flames will be revealed, but in the meantime I will continue to rise, shine, and set.
