if u were to write the history of India, how would you divide the Indian history into different periods ? Would u follow James Mill's approach? give reason for ur answer.

Being the colonial representative, James Mill divided Indian history into three parts, such that:- “Hindu”, “Muslim” and “British” history of India. But that was not accepted, as it was confusing and biased. ... They all can be called a “Loosely classified part of History”. They are not bound through period but concept.
