v(x) is negative, when we divide u(x) / v(x), we should divide by -1. In that case, we will have to change the signs

So x^5 / x^2 = x^3,

x^4 / x^2 = x^2

x^2 / x^2 = x^0 = 1

Then, putting that all together:

(x^5 – x^4 + x^2) / (- x^2) = - x^3 + x^2 - 1
