This happens because each and every electron in an atom is present in fixed shells and each shell has fixed energy levels. That's why they don't fall into the nucleus

In an atom electrons revolve around the nucleus in fixed energy levels as per Bohr's theory. So they have a constant supply of energy and are not attracted by the nucleons.
