if ur a farmer what sort of arrangements do u make to increase the produce and make a profit out of it

If I was a farmer then I would have :
1. Used proper irrigation systems for watering plants.
2. Use manures instead of fertilizers.
3. Plant HYV seeds
4.Use small amount of insecticides as recommended by government
5.Check the sample of my soil.
6.Use machines to handle the farm  matters.
