SOLUTION.

As we know that notation that you use in this question is very useful and as well as a popular notation of representing direction of vectors.

if we write velocity like....

V = (x)i + (y)j + (z)k

where X,y,z are the magnitude of velocity along X,y,z direction and I,j,k are the unit vector along the corresponding directions.

Magnitude of V

|v| = x²++

Magnitude of velocity given in question...

|v| =√3²+4²+5²

|v| = √9+16+25

|v| = √50

|v| = 5√2m/sec

Kinetics energy = (1/2)mv²

Kinetic energy = (1/2)(1.5)(5√2)²

Kinetic energy = (1/2)(1.5)(50)

Kinetic energy = 37.5J
