Derivative/Differentiation of velocity w.r.t displacement is = acceleration.

v = x² - 5x + 4

x² -5x + 4 = 0

x² - 4x - x + 4 = 0

x ( x - 4 ) - 1 ( x - 4 ) = 0

x = 4 or x = 1

=>

dv/dx = 2x - 5

=>

Acceleration = 2x - 5

At x = 1

Acceleration = -3

At x = 4

Acceleration = 3
