the ratio will be tan theta

If the value of sin ∅ is divided by the value of cos ∅ the we get tan ∅

Example;

Let sin 30° = 1/2 and cos 30° = √3/2

tan 30 ° = sin 30°/cos 30°

= 1/2 ÷ √3/2

tan 30 ° = 1/√3
