If the variation does not exist, survival is not possible as the same genetic components would get repeated and this can lead to multiplication of recessive or weak genetic characteristics leading to abnormalities and complete extinction of species.

Explanation:

  • It is known that variation is central for survival and sustenance.
  • In the lack of variation, the genetic material gets repeated and as a result, the same type of genes replicate in the dominance of certain characteristics that might be suitable for certain aspects of life and can lack from the other aspects totally.
  • The repetition of the same genetic material leads to the creation of chromosomal abnormalities.
  • And this can lead a specific race to be ill-suited for the changing environment and can eventually lead to extinction.
