If Vase I contain 02 white and 4 Black balls and Vase II contain 04 White and 4 black balls if a ball is drawn out of random from one of the two vase what is probability that it was a white ball

In vase 1 the probability of getting a white ball = 2/6 =1/3

In vase 2 the probability of getting a white ball = 4/8 = 1/2

no.of white balls / total no. of balls

i.e. 2/6=1/3

the probability of second one will be:

no. of white balls / total no. of balls

i.e. 4/8

=1/2

total probability :

no.of white balls / total no. of balls
