Magnitude of a vector between two points is the shortest distance between them, often refer as the displacement.

So magnitude of the vector from (-4, 10,7) to (3, -2, 4) is :-

 \sqrt{ {( - 4 - 3})^{2} + (10 - ( - 2)) ^{2} +  {(7 - 4)}^{2}   }

 \sqrt{ {( - 7)}^{2}  +  {(12)}^{2} +  {(3)}^{2}  }

 \sqrt{49 + 144 + 9}

 \sqrt{202}

=14.2127 approx.
