so v is doubled
= 1/2m (2v)^2
= 1/2m(4v^2)
=m2v^2 --------(2)
so let's compare
change in kinetic energy = m2v^2 / 1/2mv^2
= 4
so kinetic energy get 4 times when velocity is doubled
