If velocity v of a particle moving on a straight line
as a function of time t is given as v = 5-t (m/s)
then the distance covered by the particle in first
10 s is
(1) 5 m
(2) 15 m
(3) 25 m
(4) 50 m

Answer:25 m

Explanation:

Since the question is asking for distance

So first take out the maximum time by putting v=0

t comes out to be 5s

Now integrate the equation of velocity to get equation for displacement which comes out to be

x = 5t -t^2/2

Now put 5 in the equation this will give displacement in 5s.For distance in next 5s multiply the result by two.

Thus answer comes out to be 25.

Solve it and if you have any doubt feel free to ask.
