If Venus/ Mars comes between earth and sun, will any kind of eclipse occur? Give reason for your answer.

Now if any planet comes in between earth and sun, It will be kind of the Solar eclipse(No sun visible). Hence there will be an effect on the Earth because the sun's light kills all the germs. Hence yes, it can be a kind of eclipse but Lunar means the moon and Solar means the Sun
