If voltage is the desire of electrons to flow, then how can there be a huge voltage but low current in transmission lines?​

Voltage is proportional to current in a given circuit with a given impedance. In a distribution system, the power is constant. When the voltage in increased (though a transformer), the impedance is also increased proportionally, and the current drops proportionally.

This is identical to torque and speed changing through a gear set. Power is constant, but torque and speed change proportionally through the gears. Mechanical impedance does as well.
