As we know that volume of a cube =

a cube. or a3

so, volume of the cube given= 729 cm

=> a3 = 729cm

= a = √ 729

= a = 9 cm

Total surface area of a cube =6a2

=> 6 × (9 square)

= 6×81= 486cm2

Lateral surface area of a cube =4a2

=> 4×(9 square)

= 4×81=324cm2.
