if volume of cylinder is 1232 cm square and it's length is 8 cm and find curved surface area.

height \: of \: the \: cylinder = 8cm

To find:

Curved Surface Area-

We know that the volume of a cylinder

 =   \pi {r}^{2} h

so \: 1232 =  \frac{22}{7 }  \times r \times r \times 8

r { }^{2}  = 1232 \times  \frac{7}{8 }  \\ r = 7cm

Also we know that curved surface area of cylinder =2πrh

so, Curved surface area

 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7 }  \times 7 \times 8 \\ curved \: surface \: area = 252 {cm}^{2}

We know that total surface area of cylinder =2πr(r+h)

so,

Total surface area

 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 7(7 + 8)

Total surface area

 = 2580 {cm}^{2}
