Water may be heated in Supercritical Steam Generators, which operate at supercritical pressure. Such pressure is above 3,200 psi. Water is immediately converted to steam without boiling (no bubbles are formed).
Supercritical Steam Generators are normally used in generation of electric power. Such generators are usually more fuel efficient and hence less taxing on our environment, with regard to greenhouse gas emission.
