Newton's law of cooling states that the rate of heat exchange between an object and its surroundings is proportional to the difference in temperature between the object and the surroundings.

Since the temperature of the surrounding is constant, according to Newton's law of cooling, the water with 80 degree celcius temperature will cool faster than the one with 60 degree celsius.

But we have to keep in mind that the vessels are different here. So we need to consider the specific heat capacity of the vessels also.

the water at 80℃ will get cool or freeze faster than water at temperature 60℃.

But,
1. we have to keep in mind that vessels are different due to which their specific heat capacity is different.
2. also the size of vessel if is different than it will also affect the period of cooling.

HOPE IT HELPS YOU.
