if we add 1 to the numerator of a fraction, it reduces to 1/2. if we subtract 1 from the denominator, it reduces to 1/3 represent this graphically and Algebraiclly

Answer:

let the numerator be X

denominator be y

fraction = X/Y

ATS

X+1/y = 1/2

2x + 2 = y

2x = y-2 ...(1)

ATS

X/y - 1 = 1/3

3x = y-1 ...(2)

now by any method ( elimination/ substitution) you can solve it

and put the value in the form X/y
