If we do an experiment by swinging a small ball by a thread of length 100 cm what will be the approximate time for complete to and fro periodic motion ?​

Time taken by to complete to and fro periodic motion is 20.08 s.

It is given that , length of thread through with ball is swinging is L.

We , know time period of a pendulum of length L is given by :

T=2 \times \pi\times \sqrt{\dfrac{L}{g}}     \ \ \ \         ......\ eqn \ 1.

Here , g=9.8 \ m/s^2.

Putting values of L and g in equation 1 , we get

T=2 \times \dfrac{22}{7}\times \sqrt{\dfrac{100}{9.8}}=20.08\ s.

Hence, this is the required solution.
