Let n be 1 a1 = 2(1) + 1 a1 = 3 Let n be 3a3 = 2(3) + 1 a3 = 7 Sum of first three terms = 3/2[a1 + a3] Sum of first three terms = 3/2[3+7] Sum of first three terms = 30/2 Sum of first three terms = 15

2n+1

Let n=1,
2n+1=2(1)+1
=3
Let n=2
2(2)+1=5

Let n=3
2(3)+1=7

A=3. D=2

S3= 3/2 [2(3)+(3-1) 2]
= 3/2 (10)
=15
