X = a , Y = b

Equation 1 , X -5 = 2 => X = 2+5 = 7

Equation 2 , X+Y = 4 => 7+ Y = 4 => Y = 4-7 = -3

X= a = 7

Y = b = -3

The values of a and b are 7 and -3 respectively
