If we move from equator to pole the value of acceleration due to gravity "g" – Increases.

When compared to the equator of the earth, the radius is less at the poles, since the earth is considerably flat at the poles.

The acceleration due to gravity at the equator is 9.78 m/s2, whereas the acceleration due to gravity at the poles is 9.83 m/s2.
