If we need(D-Discriminant) (i)equal roots:D=0 (ii)real roots:D>or=0 (iii)Then what about the value of D for real and equal roots?

Two distinct real roots, if,

 {b}^{2}  - 4ac > 0

Two equal roots, if,

 {b}^{2}  - 4ac = 0

No real roots, if,

 {b}^{2}  - 4ac < 0
