if we set up 5 rupee coin on a stiff card covering an Empty glass tumbler and give the card sharp horizontal flick with the finger than the card shoots away along the coin to fall vertically into the glass tumbler why ?

It's because when we give the card a sharp horizontal flick, the force of friction is overcomed by the horizontal flick and card shoots out throwing the coin into the glass tumbler.
