are awake. Why?

When sleeping in moving bus or car, we fall back and froth. IT does not happen when we are awake because the cerebrum of the brain is in active stage and is involved in controlling the external movement of the body.

When a person is sleeping the cerebrum is at rest and thus leads to the front and back movement of the body.
