If we strike a wooden table with a steel spoon lightly we hear a feeble sound but if we hit the wooden table hard with steel spoon, a loud sound is heard.

(a) In which case the amplitude of vibration is high?
(b) Comment on the quality of sound for both the cases.
(c) In both the cases sound is produced due to which type of vibration ? (regular or irregular)
(d) If the length of the table is reduced then what will happen to the pith of the sound produced ?

(a) Secon case

(b) In first case the spoon was not beaten hardly that's why the sound was produced feeble, but in second case opposite had happened.

(c) Regular

(d)No effect will be there, the thing that affects the sound in above case was how hard you beat that spoon on table
