If we want religious leaders to guide us in spiritual matters, why not invite them to guide us in politics as well. The country should be ruled by religious leaders.

Religious leaders are experienced and learnt in knowledge about religion, thats why they are leaders.

Political leaders need to be educated about polity and governance, economics , social skills..etc. Thats why we need educated people for political leaders, not some religious leaders to lead the state. In India, we often have religious activists as political leaders, while some of them become good in governance by experience and self-learning, some are just a disaster.

Yes it's true that we we want religious leaders to guide us in spiritual matters but it isn't a good reason to make them the leaders of our country who will form the government because the forming of the government is the most important thing ever held.

If we will invite religious leaders to be our head of the government then there will be no rights for the representatives who want to change the nation through their ideologies.
