If we won’t keep balance between Kerning and Tracking, what will be the issues?

Explanation:

Too tight and your text will appear cramped and require the reader to squint in order to read it. Too loose and it gets hard to read as the reader gets lost due to the large gaps in between where it's too spread out to keep track as you read along.

If there is no balance then the document will appear very crumpled.

  • Properly balancing the adequate distance among letter pairs is kerning, while, properly adjusting the comprehensive distance among an alphabet set is referred to as tracking.
  • There should be a balance between both as -
  1. If the text is extremely small, it may appear cramped and merely force the reader to squint to read it.
  2. If the text is too loose, it becomes challenging to read as the reader will be lost in the vast gaps among sentences, making it difficult to keep track while reading.
