If we write (x + 24) -4 does it mean we have to multiply? Or only if its in the front we have to multiply -4 (x+24) . I am asking when this (x) multiplication sign is not there.

Answer:

if we write (x+24)-4 we don't have to multiply because this means we have to subtract 4 .

It is not only that if we write in front only then we have to multiply if this equation would be written as (x+24)4 this means we have to multiply . It is not necessary that always multiplication sign comes if the bracket is closed and any number is written without a sign it mean we have to multiply whether it is written in front or in back.

but in this case which you have written we don't have to multiply.

i hope it is helpful to you!!!
