Given : Weight of 10000 soldiers are normally distributed

P( z>1.6)

To Find :  no. of soldiers in  z>1.6

Solution:

(z values mentioned in Question are with taking Mean  = 0 and on right side are + ve  and left side are - ve ) hence from - 0.50 to 0.50

P( z>1.6)

Z score is + ve

A( 1.6)  = 0.4452

Hence 0.5 + 0.4452  = 0.9452 are below  1.6

Hence  1 - 0.9452  =  0.0548   are  above 1.6

=>  no. of soldiers are for z>1.6   =  10000 x 0.0548  = 548

548 soldiers are above P( z>1.6)
