if wire is in the shape of a square of side 10 cm if the wire is Rebent into a rectangle of length 12 cm find its breadth which encloses more area the square of the rectangle

Perimeter of the square= 4×10=40cm
Perimeter of the rectangle=2(L+B)
=2(12+B)
Therefore,2(12+B)=40cm
B=20-12=8cm
Area of square=10*10=100cm2
Area of rectangle=12*8=96cm2
Area of squareis greater

area of square - 10*10=100^2cm
perimeter of square - 10*4=40cm
perimeter of rectangle- 2 (L+B)
= 2 ( 12 + b )
= 24 + 2b
perimeter = 40 cm
》40 = 24+2b
》40 - 24 = 2b
》16 = 2b
》b= 16/2 = 8

area of rectangle = 12*8 = 96^2cm
thus; square has the larger area compared to rectangle ( 100>96 )
