If wood is a poor conducter of heat then why is it used in a bonfire,if ppl use it because it is cheap then why does it flamable easily

we do agree that wood is a heat conductor but have taken time to see what kind of wood is a conductor in my opinion i think that wet wood is the conductor of heat and dry wood is an insulator cause you cant use wet wood for lighting a bonfire instead you use dry wood.
