x = 0.3333...----( 1 )
multiply equation ( 1 ) , with 10 , we get
10x = 3.33333....---( 2 )
subtract ( 1 ) from ( 2 ) , we get
9x = 3
x = 3/9
x = 1/3
x² = ( 1/3 )²
x² = 1/9
= 0.111...

Why can't 0.9 bar
1/9 = 0.1bar
He is not given x=1/3
x = 0.3 bar = 3/9 = 1/3 as shown in the solution
