Answer:

√x + 1/2√x = √3

2x + 1/2√x = √3

2x + 1 = 2√3x

2x = 2√3x - 1

x = 2√3x-1/2

x² + 1/16x² = ?

= (2√3x-1/2)² + 1/16(2√3x-1/2)²

= 12x²-1/4 + 1/16(12x²-1/4)

= 12x²-1/4 + 1/16(48x²-1/4)

= 12x²-1/4 + 1/4(48x²-1)

= (12x²-1)(48x²-1)+1/4(48x²-1)

= 216x²-48x²-12x²+1+1/192x²-1

= 216x²-60x²+2/192-1

= 164x²-2/192x²-1

= 82x²-1/192x²-1

Hence the value of x² + 1/16x² = 82x²-1/192x²-1.
