LHS = x ×( y × z)

= 1/2× (-2/3 × 1/4)

= 1/2 × -2/12

= - 2/24

= -1/12

RHS = (x × y )× z

= ( 1/2 × -2/3 ) × 1/4

= - 2/6 × 1/4

= -2/24

= -1/12

hence LHS=RHS

x×(y×z)=(x×y)×z (proved)
