Answer:

(x-\frac{1}{2x})=3

(x-\frac{1}{2x})^2=3^2

x^2+\frac{1}{4x^2} -1=9

x^2+\frac{1}{4x^2} =10

(x^2+\frac{1}{4x^2})^2=10^2

x^4+\frac{1}{16x^4} +\frac{1}{2} =100

x^4+\frac{1}{16x^4}  =100-\frac{1}{2}

x^4+\frac{1}{16x^4}  =\frac{199}{2}=99.5
