Answer:

y=1/x

=1/1+√3

=1-√3/1^2-√3^2

=1-√3/-2

=√3-1/2

now

x^2+y^2

(1+√3)^2+(√3-1)^2/4

4+2√3+4-2√3/4

16+8√3+4-2√3/4

=20+6√3/4
