if x+1,3x and 4x+2 arein AP find the value of x

1st term=x+1
2nd term=3x
3rd term=4x+2

2nd -1 st=3rd -2nd
3x-x-1=4x+2-3x
3x-x-4x+3x=2+1
x=3
