Hey !!!
.
.
If x+1 and x+2 are factors than, we can say that,
x=-1 and x=-2
Now, By putting x=-1 in equation,
(-1)^3 + 3(-1)^2 - 3a(-1) + b
= -1 + 3 + 3a + b
= 2+3a +b
Now by Putting x=-2 in equation,
(-2)^3 + 3(-2)^2 - 3a(-2) + b
=> -8 + 12 +6a + b
= 4 + 6a + b
.
.
Now,
2+ 3a + b =4 + 6a + b
= 3a-6a+b-b = 4 - 2
= -3a = 2
= a = -2/3
and b = 0
.
.
I Hope it May help You

sanju7238: thank-you very much
ankitaaaaaa: x+1=0. so x=-1 and not 1 similarly in the other case x=-2
ankitaaaaaa: u dont directly take it the way u have taken.
Tarun2906: Now it is right
