x-1 is a factor then x-1=0 , x=1 must divide the the equation.
then 1+100+a+ b=0
a+b =-101-----1
and x=-2 also divides then
4+100-2a +b=0
-2a+b=-104-----2
use eq. 1 & 2
3a= 3
a=1
and b =-102
then 1+100+a+ b=0
a+b =-101-----1
and x=-2 also divides then
4+100-2a +b=0
-2a+b=-104-----2
