Substituting the value of x and y
Into a2x+ay=3
x =1,y=2
a2×1+a×2=3
a2+2a=3
a2+2a-3=0
a2+3a-1a-3=0
a(a+3)-1 (a+3)
(a-1)(a+3)=0
a=1,-3

Hope it helps you
Thanks

Answer:

1 and -3

Step-by-step explanation:

x =1,y=2

a2×1+a×2=3

a2+2a=3

a2+2a-3=0

a2+3a-1a-3=0

a(a+3)-1 (a+3)

(a-1)(a+3)=0

therefore,

a-1=0 and a+3=0

a=1 and a=-3

ans= a=1,-3
