Solution :-

Given ,

x = 1

y = 3

Equation :- 2ax + 3y = 11

By substituting the given values

☞ 2a(1) + 3(3) = 11

☞ 2a + 9 = 11

☞ 2a = 11 - 9

☞ 2a = 2

☞ a = 2/2

☞ a = 1

Hence , a = 1

Verification :-

By substituting the value of a , x & y . If LHS = RHS , the value of a is correct .

➜ 2(1)(1) + 3(3) = 11

➜ 2 + 9 = 11

➜ 11 = 11

➜ LHS = RHS

Hence , verified

Step-by-step explanation:

x=1 and y=3 is the solution of 2ax+3y=11

 =  > 2 \times a \times 1 + 3 \times 3 = 11 \\  =  > 2a + 9 = 11 \\  =  > 2a = 11 - 9  = 2\\  =  > a =  \frac{2}{2} = 1

Therefore,

a=1

Verification-

2×1×1+3×3

2+9

11

11=11

Hence,Verified
