Let f(x)=8x^3+5x^2+2x+5k.

Since (x+1) is a factor of f(x).

So, f(-1)=0

0=-8+5-2+5k

5k=5

k=1

Step-by-step explanation:

x+1 = 0

x=-1

8x -1^3 +5x -1^2 + 2x -1 +5k =0

-8 +5 -2 +5k =0

-5 +5k =0

5k =5

k=1
